A Book that Makes You Feel Better

Do you need a dose of love and acceptance? I usually do, which is one of the reasons Spring Warren and I collaborated to share the story of Harper the Love Puppy.

Here are some kind words from a review:

Remember that family pet of your youth that was always glad to see you and seemed to love you no matter what?  Harper the Love Puppy is about such a dog. She will love you unconditionally all day long!

“Harper the Love Puppy” is a delightful tale written by Lisa Nalbone and beautifully illustrated by Spring Warren that is full of wonderful examples of the non-verbal cues dogs can give us to show us their unconditional love.

As  a former therapist who worked with a social therapy dog I know the power of “puppy love”. I never ceased to be amazed how my canine co-therapist picked up a sense that someone was distressed and responded with gentle care and presence and yes, love!

I highly recommend this book to anyone working with children including therapists, teachers, librarians and health care professionals and of course, parents and grandparents.

In fact, even if you don’t work with children, I encourage you to give it a read. You are bound to feel a little better about your day, I know I did.
