A Good Morning Haiku

I woke very early, before dawn. The rain had stopped, and I felt a huge urge to get outside. To put my bare feet in the wet grass and inhale the fresh rain washed scent.

It felt so good. So still, wet, foggy.

And then, the tiniest hint of light shimmered in the air. Expectant.

Full of possibility– and gratitude for the morning moment of joy.

After Yesterday's Rain

Owl, rooster, Donkey
Singing their good morning songs
In dawn's moody mist

How do you like to greet the day?
